Curriculum Design

To differentiate the curriculum of the Department of Applied Foreign Languages from the traditional literature- and linguistics-based curriculum offered in many other universities, the department provides three main areas of concentration: international business, teaching foreign languages to children and tourism profession.

The curriculum includes a variety of courses and practicum in foreign-language communication, teaching methods, international business and tourism profession.

Students whose emphasis is teaching foreign languages take courses which are relevant the current state of the education field and which are taught with modern multimedia instruction methods.

Students focusing on international business take courses on international trade, business management, computers, and the internet.

Students whose career planning is being a foreign languages guide with professional ability take courses on tourism, English and Japanese as well as health and leisure studies.
